The Ayurveda Training Accreditation Board (ATAB) has accredited a total of 113 Ayurveda training courses across more than three countries, including India, since it was established six years ago, as stated in an official announcement. Out of these, 99 courses from 24 Indian institutions and 14 international courses from two foreign nations have received accreditation from ATAB, greatly enhancing the standardization and credibility of Ayurveda education on a global level, according to a statement from the Ministry of Ayush released on Friday. Furthermore, ATAB has introduced a structured endorsement program designed to formally recognize qualified Ayurveda professionals practicing internationally. This initiative ensures that practitioners adhere to stringent standards in skills, knowledge, and ethics.

So far, 41 Ayurveda doctors practicing abroad have been officially endorsed under this program, fostering a reliable global network of accredited practitioners. The announcement followed a review meeting conducted by the Ayush ministry to evaluate ATAB’s progress and its ongoing efforts to broaden the global reach of Ayurveda through course accreditation and professional endorsement. The meeting was led by Prataprao Jadhav, the Minister of State (Independent Charge) for the Ministry of Ayush and Minister of State for Health.
