Boston Consulting Group (BCG), a leading global management consulting firm, is set to enhance its presence in India by opening a new office in Hyderabad. This will be BCG’s fifth location in the country, complementing its existing offices in Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, and Chennai. The expansion aligns with BCG India’s impressive growth, which has seen a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 20 percent over the last decade. With the addition of Hyderabad, the firm intends to strengthen its connections with key industries and clients, fostering significant growth in an evolving business environment. “India remains one of BCG’s most dynamic growth markets globally, supported by a strong talent pool and rapid industry transformation,” stated Rahul Jain, Head of BCG India.
“The launch of our Hyderabad office demonstrates our long-term commitment to the country and confidence in the potential opportunities across various sectors, particularly in industrials, pharmaceuticals, technology, infrastructure, and real estate, all driven by outstanding local talent.” Hyderabad stands out as one of India’s fastest-growing business centers, noted for its robust manufacturing, R&D, and technology capabilities. The city contributes nearly one-third of India’s pharmaceutical production and one-fifth of its exports, earning it the title of “pharma capital of India.” Manufacturing makes up 19.5 percent of Telangana’s GSDP, exceeding the national average, and grew by approximately 9 percent between FY23 and FY24.
Additionally, the city is a favored location for global capability centers, R&D hubs, and startups, bolstered by strategic infrastructure and a vibrant technology ecosystem.
