Kolkata, May 26 (). Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials probing the multi-crore school recruitment case in West Bengal have now summoned Sujay Krishna Bhadra, a close aide of Trinamool Congress top leadership, to the Central Government Office (CGO) on May 30. Sources said Bhadra will be asked about some dubious entities with which he has been associated for a long time.
The ED has also summoned two other people in this case. One of them is Gyananand Samant, a Trinamool Congress Zilla Parishad member in South 24 Parganas district, while the other is Rahul Bera, a civic volunteer by profession.
The ED had raided Bhadra’s residence in Behala on May 20. The raids were conducted on the same day that CBI officials questioned Trinamool Congress national general secretary Abhishek Banerjee in connection with the case.
Earlier, the CBI had also raided Bhadra’s residence from where they seized some documents and cash.
ED officials got some clues from the two mobile phones of Bhadra that were seized.
Sources said Bhadra would also be questioned on Tuesday about these clues found from his mobile phone.
Bhadra’s name came to the fore after one of the suspects in the case, Gopal Dalpati, had taken Bhadra’s name during his interrogation by the central agency.
Dalpati told the detectives that Kuntal Ghosh, an accused in the recruitment case and expelled Youth Trinamool Congress leader, used to hand over a part of the scam proceeds collected by him to Bhadra, whom Ghosh refers to as Kalighatar Kaku (Kalighat’s uncle). Used to address
Ghosh claimed that Bhadra was his main link with the top leadership of the state’s ruling party.
