Patna: Government primary schools in Bihar will soon receive new educational kits aimed at making learning more interactive and engaging for students. This initiative is designed to introduce children to local history, culture, and heritage through vibrant 3D jumbo charts and visual learning resources. Each school will receive a specific kit that includes educational charts, 50 photo books, and posters covering various subjects such as key historical sites, notable figures, significant annual events, nutrition, sports, and exercise. The materials will be available in both Hindi and English, ensuring that all students can access them. In the “Historical Sites” section, students will learn about local forts, temples, and archaeological sites, delving into their history, importance, and cultural significance.
The large four-by-six-foot charts will showcase colorful 3D illustrations, maps, and timelines, and each chart will feature a QR code for teachers to scan with a tablet, allowing access to digital learning tools. Officials indicated that the initiative aims to shift away from rote learning, promoting comprehension through visual and experiential methods. The charts and posters will be displayed in classrooms to foster a more engaging learning environment. Furthermore, the kits will include building blocks to aid children in understanding mathematical concepts through play. The education department anticipates that these interactive tools will stimulate curiosity, creativity, and a deeper understanding among young learners.
