Patna: The exit poll conducted by News Pinch–AI Politics indicates a close race between the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and the opposition Mahagathbandhan in the recently concluded two-phase Bihar Assembly election. This poll, based on a sample of over 400,000 respondents from all 38 districts, forecasts that the NDA might secure 121 seats, with the Mahagathbandhan closely trailing at 119 seats, while other parties are projected to win three seats. Abhinav Pandey from News Pinch stated that the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) is predicted to become the largest party with 97 seats, followed by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) at 93 seats.
Saurabh Tripathi of News Pinch mentioned that the BJP is anticipated to achieve the highest strike rate, winning 93 out of the 101 seats it contested, while Nitish Kumar’s Janata Dal (United) may be reduced to 25 seats. The Congress party is expected to secure only 16 seats, the Left parties around six seats, and Chirag Paswan’s Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) approximately three of the 29 seats it contested. Despite generating interest during the campaign, Prashant Kishor’s Jan Suraaj is unlikely to win any seats but could achieve a vote share of 12.7%, reflecting a modest presence in Bihar’s political scene.
