PM Modi warns that Bihar's 'jungle raj' will be remembered

On Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that the “jungle raj” in Bihar will be a topic of conversation for another century, asserting that no matter how much the Opposition attempts to conceal its wrongdoings, the public will not pardon them. Targeting the RJD-Congress alliance on the day Tejashwi Yadav was named the Grand Alliance’s chief ministerial candidate, Modi characterized the Opposition coalition not as a “gathbandhan” but rather as a “lathbandhan” (a coalition of criminals), pointing out that its leaders from both Delhi and Bihar are out on bail.

He urged BJP members to encourage older generations to inform younger people about the abuses that occurred during the “jungle raj,” referencing the period when Lalu Prasad, the RJD chief, was in power in Bihar.
