Brijendra Singh Launches Sadbhav Yatra to Promote Harmony

Chandigarh: Former Hisar MP and Congress leader Brijendra Singh announced on Tuesday that he will commence the ‘Sadbhav Yatra’ from Danoda village in Narwana, Jind, starting October 5. During this ‘padyatra’, Singh, the son of Congress veteran Birender Singh, plans to address various national and regional issues. He has criticized the ruling BJP for engaging in ‘divisive politics’, stating that ‘sadbhav’ (harmony) has been under strain over the last decade. He emphasized that the yatra is not merely a march but a mission aimed at restoring harmony and voicing the concerns of farmers, workers, youth, traders, employees, and women.

The ‘padyatra’ is set to traverse all 90 assembly constituencies in Haryana, covering an estimated distance of 2,600 to 2,800 kilometers over the next six to seven months. In its initial phase, the yatra will go through fourteen constituencies: Narwana, Kalayat, Safidon, Jind, Julana, Narnaund, Uchana, Uklana, Adampur, Nalwa, Hisar, Barwala, Hansi, and Bawani Khera. Singh noted that the initiative is inspired by Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra, which aimed to convey the party’s vision and values directly to the public. He also mentioned that he has already invited several Congress leaders to participate and will continue to extend invitations in the coming days.
