In New Delhi, the Indian Railway cargo parcel train was inaugurated at Badgam Railway Station in the Kashmir Valley, set to travel to Adarsh Nagar in Delhi. The event was officiated by Manoj Sinha, the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, at the Srinagar Railway Station. The ceremony saw the attendance of several dignitaries, including Agriculture Minister Javid Ahmad Dar, Additional Member of the Railway Board Dr. Manoj Singh, Divisional Railway Manager Jammu Vivek Kumar, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Jammu S Uchit Singhal, and Railway Area Chief Manager Kashmir Valley Saqib Yusuf, along with local business representatives.
Vivek Kumar remarked, “This is a historic achievement and a matter of great pride that Indian Railways is playing an important role in the development of the nation,” highlighting the significance of the new parcel cargo train as a reflection of this dedication.
