The Kashi Vishwanath temple administration said in a statement that senior officials of the KV temple administration had received information that fake tickets were being used by some touts for darshan.
The people involved in the forgery used to scan and copy the tickets sold from the temple office.
Later, he used the counterfeit copies to facilitate temple entry in exchange for money. It has become difficult to trace the people involved in the swindle.
The IT experts of the temple and the Deputy Commissioner of Police made joint efforts and developed a new app to expose the frauds.
The information of this app was kept confidential and only the employee posted at the gate was logged in.
