Clash between students and security guard over cigarette smoking, 15 injured

Greater Noida, June 5 (). Greater Noida has once again witnessed the bullying of security guards after they got into an altercation with the students of Gyms Hostel over smoking cigarettes late at night. The guards got together and attacked the hostel students. There was fierce fighting between the two sides. 15 students were injured in this. The guards also broke several motorcycles of the students. The incident was captured in CCTV. Police station Ecotech Pratham reached the spot and took 33 people into custody. And the investigation is going on on the Tahrir of both the sides.

The incident is of Munshi Premchand Hostel located in Gautam Buddha University. There was a dispute with the guards over smoking cigarettes late on Sunday night. Later there was a fight between the two sides. It is alleged that the security guard called his five other colleagues to the spot and assaulted the students. Many other students living in the hostel also came to the spot. The students alleged that the security guard and his accomplices armed with sticks and rods barged into the hostel room and beat up the students. Around 15 students were injured in the clash. All have been admitted to the hospital.

Sarita Malik, a Kotwali in-charge of Ecotech, said that after getting the information about the matter, many senior officials of the college management also reached the spot. 33 people have been detained by the police on the spot. The footage of the CCTV camera installed in the hostel is being scanned. Necessary legal action is being taken after receiving Tahrir from both the parties. Police force has been deployed on the spot as a precautionary measure.
