Chief Minister Helps Cancer Patient During Navratri Festival

Lucknow, September 29 During the Sharadiya Navratri festival, dedicated to the worship of Mother Shakti, a poignant moment occurred at Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s Janata Darshan. An elderly mother, filled with emotion, expressed her distress to the Chief Minister. Despite her trembling voice, her eyes conveyed relief and hope as she sought assistance for her ailing son. True to his belief that “Service to mankind is service to God,” and viewing the state’s 25 crore citizens as his family, CM Yogi was profoundly affected by their situation. He promptly arranged for her cancer-affected son to be transported by government ambulance directly from the Janata Darshan venue to the Kalyan Singh Super Specialty Cancer Institute for immediate medical attention.

For this impoverished woman from Kanpur, who had desperately sought help from many sources, Navratri transformed into a festival of renewed hope. The Chief Minister met with over 50 individuals from across Uttar Pradesh during the Janata Darshan, patiently listening to each concern, accepting their applications, and directing officials to address them in a timely manner. Among the attendees was a 63-year-old woman from Raipurwa, Kanpur, who implored, “Sir, my young son has cancer. We are poor and cannot afford treatment; we don’t even have an Ayushman card. Please save my son’s life.” Touched by her plea, CM Yogi immediately ordered her son’s hospitalization and promised her all necessary support.

During the event, the Chief Minister reaffirmed that his government operates under the principle of “Har Seva, Narayan Seva,” aiming to bring joy to every citizen. He emphasized that anyone who seeks medical treatment from the government—whether directly or through representatives—will receive aid. “Our government stands firmly with every victim,” he assured, “and will continue to provide financial support for treatment whenever necessary.” In addition to health-related issues, attendees at Janata Darshan raised concerns about illegal construction in Mathura, Vrindavan, and Lucknow, inaction regarding a cyber fraud case from Noida, and issues related to policing, administration, revenue, electricity, and financial assistance.

Adding a personal touch to the event, many complainants who attended with their children witnessed a gentler side of the Chief Minister, who affectionately interacted with the little ones, blessed them, and distributed chocolates and toffees.
