Mumbai, May 11 (). The ruling Shiv Sena has not reacted immediately after the Supreme Court’s judgment on Thursday made strong comments.
Bharat Gogavale, whip of the Shiv Sena headed by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, said he would read the entire Supreme Court judgment before commenting.
To a question about his status, Gogavale said the Supreme Court has only observed his appointment as whip, not passed any judgement.
Earlier, the opposition Shiv Sena (UBT) welcomed the Supreme Court verdict and its seal of approval on Sunil Prabhu as party whip.
Shiv Sena’s (UBT) chief spokesperson Sanjay Raut said that this means that the whip of the Shinde faction (Bharat Gogavale) is also illegal.
Raut demanded that considering all aspects, the present illegitimate Shinde government of Shiv Sena-Bharatiya Janata Party should resign immediately on moral grounds.
