CMF, the budget-friendly sub-brand of Nothing, is broadening its product line with a new audio device. The company has confirmed that its first over-ear headphones, the CMF Headphone Pro, will debut in India on September 29. CMF is recognized for its unique and vibrant design, and the Headphone Pro is no exception. Teasers shared on X showcase the upcoming headphones in bright orange and light green finishes, colors that align with the bold aesthetics of CMF’s smartphones. An earlier teaser indicated a white variant, suggesting that consumers will have at least three color choices at launch. The headphones present a striking design, noticeably differing from the Nothing Headphone 1 released earlier this year.
Unlike the circular shape of Nothing’s model, CMF’s Headphone Pro features larger, cushioned earpads designed for comfort during extended listening. An interesting design feature includes a prominent “R” marking inside one earcup, likely accompanied by an “L” on the other side to indicate left and right placement. This thoughtful detail reflects CMF’s commitment to user-friendly design. The headset also includes physical controls; a visible wheel allows users to adjust the volume with precision, while a slider on the earcup suggests additional functionality, though its specific purpose is not yet disclosed. A power button that also serves as a Bluetooth pairing key simplifies usage. The slim headband enhances the modern look and ensures a lightweight fit for daily wear.
Like all CMF products, the new headphones will feature the CMF by Nothing branding, integrating them into the sub-brand’s broader design ecosystem. While Nothing has not yet released official specifications or pricing details, it is anticipated that the Headphone Pro will be priced significantly lower than the premium Nothing Headphone 1, which was introduced in India at ₹21,999 (introductory offer price: ₹19,999). In addition to the Headphone Pro launch, brand enthusiasts can anticipate another exciting release: the Nothing Ear open, first revealed in late 2024, is arriving in India. Reports indicate that these open-ear earbuds will be available starting September 23 as part of Flipkart’s Big Billion Days sale.
Priced at ₹17,999, buyers can acquire them for just ₹9,999 during launch offers. Featuring 14.2 mm dynamic drivers and an ergonomic open-ear design, the earbuds cater to users who wish to enjoy music while remaining aware of their surroundings. With the CMF Headphone Pro and the Nothing Ear open, Nothing and CMF are advancing their presence in India’s competitive audio market. The appealing designs, physical controls, and strategic pricing could attract young, style-conscious consumers.
