Jaipur, May 17 (). The Congress high command is focusing on resolving the issue of Karnataka chief ministership before settling the issue of former Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot.
However, Pilot reiterated his three demands and gave an ultimatum of 15 days to the state government to address them.
The three demands include: the Rajasthan Public Service Commission should be dissolved and a new organization should be formed, the unemployed should be compensated for the paper leak and there should be a high-level inquiry into the corruption during Vasundhara Raje’s BJP government.
Meanwhile, Congress leaders said the high command would move to Rajasthan after resolving the Karnataka issue and efforts would be made to stop the Pilot-Gehlot war.
He said that in view of the upcoming assembly elections and 2024 elections, Gehlot is currently silent and is neither speaking on the issue of Karnataka or Rajasthan. However, he is busy implementing his plans on the ground and taking this message to the people.
While many leaders of the Gehlot camp are agitated over Pilot calling the Rajasthan government corrupt, questions are being raised on the high command’s silence on Pilot’s visit and speech.
Will Pilot be given a chance to lead the assembly elections, will Pilot remain in the Congress or form his own party, questions are being raised in political circles.
Two days passed peacefully after their 15-day ultimatum, but there has been no response from any senior leader to their demands.
Pilot went on a one-day fast on 11 April and started his Jan Sangharsh Yatra on 11 May. June 11 is the death anniversary of his father Rajesh Pilot.
So will he make any big announcement on this day, this question is being asked by Congress as well as BJP workers.
The confrontation between Gehlot and Pilot started in 2018 after the formation of the Congress government in Rajasthan, since then there has been a tussle between the two. Pilot along with his 19 MLAs went to Manesar in Haryana in 2020 demanding a change of leadership in Rajasthan.
The matter was resolved with the intervention of a veteran leader like Ahmed Patel. Many times Priyanka Gandhi also intervened to remove the deadlock between the two.
Now all eyes are on how the two camps meet in the assembly elections to be held in December this year.
