A Delhi Police assistant sub-inspector (ASI) and a civilian have been arrested for allegedly taking a bribe of Rs 7,000 to release a seized motorcycle in the Mehrauli area of South Delhi, according to an official statement on Friday. The complainant, Hitesh, a resident of Neb Sarai, reported that his motorcycle was taken to the Mehrauli police station by ASI PR Meena following a minor dispute. Hitesh further alleged that the officer initially requested Rs 10,000 for the vehicle’s release but later settled for Rs 7,000 after negotiations.
