New Delhi, May 24 (). Ram Bhajan Kumar, Head Constable of Delhi Police, working in Cyber Cell Police Station, has achieved a remarkable achievement by securing 667th rank in the 2022 Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) examination.
Coming from a humble family, 34 year old Ram Bhajan is the son of a laborer in Rajasthan. Despite facing many challenges, he persevered and finally fulfilled his dream by cracking the prestigious exam in his eighth attempt.
The journey to success of Ram Bhajan is an inspiring story of determination and patience. Coming from a family with limited resources, he faced many hurdles on his way to become a police officer. However, his unwavering determination and dedication carried him forward, which made him a remarkable achiever in the UPSC exam.
He himself used to work as a laborer during his school hours to meet the needs of his family along with his parents.
Speaking to , Ram Bhajan, a resident of Bapi, a small village in Dausa district of Rajasthan, said that his parents used to earn their livelihood by working as labourers.
He said, I got my early education from a government school in the village. I got selected as a constable in Delhi Police after passing 12th. Along with my service, I did my graduation and post graduation from Rajasthan University as a self-taught student. Obtained NET/JRF in Hindi in the year 2012.
He told , the same year I got married to Anjali Kumari. Inspired by my seniors, I started preparing for Civil Services in 2015. I took coaching for this and continued my preparation through self study.
In the year 2018, Ram Bhajan gave the UPSC mains exam for the first time, but could not qualify for the interview.
After that, with continuous hard work and dedication, I finally achieved success by securing 667th rank in Civil Services Examination in 2022.
Describing his routine while preparing for the exam, he said that while performing challenging duties in the police, he studied for 7-8 hours every day with discipline and also fulfilled his family responsibilities with the help of his wife and mother.
Ram Bhajan said, I even took leave for a month for preparation just before the exam and bought study material from Mukherjee Nagar. Firoz Alam Sir, who was a constable in Delhi Police and became ACP after clearing UPSC exam in 2019, helped people like me and motivated them to work hard.
Ram Bhajan said, Alam sir had created a WhatsApp group for aspirants like us where he used to share tips and encourage us. He also prepared me for the interview.
