New Delhi, April 25 (). Foreign Minister S. Without naming Pakistan, Jaishankar said it was difficult to engage with a neighbor that promotes cross-border terrorism against India.
Jaishankar, who is currently in Panama on his four-nation tour of North and South America, hoped that a day would come when Pakistan would fulfill its commitment of not sponsoring cross-border terrorism.
During a joint press briefing with his Panamanian counterpart, the minister said: It is very difficult for us to engage with a neighbor who promotes cross-border terrorism against us. We have always said that they have to fulfill the commitment not to sponsor cross-border terrorism.
We hope to reach that point one day.
As part of the trip, Jaishankar first visited Guyana, following which he went to Panama.
He is also scheduled to have stops in Colombia (April 25-27) and the Dominican Republic (April 27-29).
