New Delhi, April 6 (). Students of Delhi University on Thursday took out a rally at the North Campus demanding justice for the students who were manhandled during a cultural festival at Indraprastha College for Women (IPCW).
The incident of alleged harassment happened last week.
The rally was organized by the Left-backed All India Student’s Association (AISA). Activists of Krantikari Yuva Sangathan (KYS) also participated in it.
The protesting students demanded the resignation of IPCW principal Poonam Kumaria. They also submitted a memorandum to the DU Vice-Chancellor demanding his removal.
In a statement, the KYS said, “Instead of taking prompt action on the demands of the protesting students and activists, the DU and IPCW administration has now remained indifferent to them.”
