Bhubaneswar: The East Coast Railway (ECoR) has implemented proactive measures to ensure the safety, security, and smooth transit of passengers during the busy festive season. To manage the increased traffic at railway stations, stringent queue systems have been established in both reserved and unreserved zones. Security personnel, including the Railway Protection Force (RPF), are on duty to maintain order and facilitate the systematic movement of passengers. Efforts are being made to guide travelers effectively to avoid overcrowding and confusion, especially during peak hours. Additionally, the ECoR has coordinated the boarding process for special trains. Security staff and station personnel are strategically positioned at critical locations both within the stations and in surrounding areas to uphold order.
Senior ECoR officials are actively monitoring the situation, employing strategies such as real-time crowd surveillance, platform management, and increased patrols to minimize inconvenience for travelers. Passengers are encouraged to arrive at the stations early and cooperate with Railway staff and security for a safe and pleasant journey. The ECoR is also running special trains to accommodate the rise in passenger numbers during the Diwali festival, ensuring a comfortable travel experience for those celebrating with family and friends.
