ED raids premises linked to aides of AAP leader Sanjay Singh

Online education racket: ED unearths illegal transfer of Rs 82.72 crore to China

New Delhi, May 24 (). The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Wednesday carried out searches at the premises of two aides of AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh and four people linked to jailed liquor baron Dinesh Arora in connection with the Delhi Excise Policy scam. The ED is yet to give an official statement.

Earlier in the day, Sanjay Singh attacked the Center and said the ED was conducting search operations at the premises of his close associates Ajit Tyagi and Sarvesh Mishra.

Modi’s hooliganism is at its peak. I am fighting against Modi’s dictatorship. I exposed the fake investigation of ED in front of the whole country. ED accepted its mistake.

Singh tweeted. Sarvesh’s father is suffering from cancer. This is the culmination of injustice. No matter how much crime, the fight will go on.

Sources said that the search operation is also going on at Vithalbhai Patel House in Lutyen’s Delhi.

So far, the ED has filed four chargesheets, one main chargesheet and three supplementary chargesheets in the case. The ED’s case is based on the CBI’s FIR.

The CBI has made former Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi Manish Sisodia as accused number one in its FIR. The CBI FIR has been registered under IPC sections 120-B (criminal conspiracy) and 477-A (falsification of accounts).

Sisodia is accused of allegedly giving a rebate of Rs 30 crore to liquor traders. The extension was allegedly given to the licensees on their own free will. Policy rules were made by violating excise rules. Sisodia is currently in Tihar Jail.

Businessman Dinesh Arora, accused number 11 in the CBI FIR related to the alleged scam in the implementation of the Delhi Excise Policy 2021-22, is also behind bars and has turned approver.
