Patna, May 5 (). A Dhaka-Kathmandu-bound Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight carrying 77 passengers made an emergency landing at Patna’s Jai Prakash Narayan International Airport on Friday afternoon after it developed a technical glitch.
Sources said that both the passengers and the flight crew are safe. The pilot of the flight detected the defect in time and contacted ATC Patna, which was the nearest at that time.
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has confirmed the emergency landing by Biman Bangladesh Airways flight number 371 at Patna airport. Air India’s aircraft maintenance engineers immediately rushed to the spot to locate the fault.
Last year too, a SpiceJet aircraft carrying 185 passengers had to make an emergency landing at the Patna airport after hitting a bird.
