Encroachment Drive: Pak Hindu Migrants' Houses Demolished in Jodhpur

Jaipur, April 27 (). The Rajasthan government’s bulldozers ran over the kutcha-pucca houses of Hindu migrants from Pakistan.

Over 70 houses of Hindu migrants from Pakistan were bulldozed by the Jodhpur Development Authority (JDA). The displaced said, we were evicted from Pakistan as well and now our houses were demolished here too.

Jodhpur Development Authority informed that action has been taken to remove encroachment from here. A public notice has already been issued regarding the work.

It is necessary to mention here that the Jodhpur Development Authority got the encroachment removed from the city’s Chowka village. The authority freed about 400 bighas of land in B and C sectors of Rajiv Nagar Colony from encroachment.

During the campaign, the pain of the Hindus of Pakistan was very deep. Women and children started crying seeing their houses destroyed.

The JDA said, the place where these houses were built is Rajiv Gandhi Awas Yojna Khasra No. 61 and action has been taken not on Hindus but on encroachment.

Meanwhile, Hindu migrants from Pakistan have submitted a memorandum to the Jodhpur District Magistrate regarding this action. It has been said in the memorandum that the land on which JDA has taken action belongs to the Gram Panchayat.

One of the migrants said, “We have paid Rs 70,000 to Rs 2 lakh for the land, however, it seems the land mafia has cheated us.”
