Rouse Avenue Court’s Special Judge M.K. Nagpal will pronounce the verdict on April 26. In this case, on Monday, the court had extended the judicial custody of Sisodia for two weeks.

The ED had earlier told a bench of Justice Nagpal that Sisodia had planted fabricated emails to show that there was public acceptance for the policy.

The ED told the court that instructions to send these pre-drafted emails were given to Delhi Minorities Commission chairman Zakir Khan, who asked his intern to send the emails.

The probe agency had also said that the 60 days given to complete the investigation against Sisodia have not yet expired. The ED had said fresh evidence has been found indicating Sisodia’s involvement in the alleged excise policy scam and the investigation is at a critical stage.
