Falhari Cake Recipe
Preparation:
Ingredients:
* 1 cup singhada atta (water chestnut flour)
* 1/2 cup powdered sugar
* Pinch of cardamom powder
* 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
* 1/8 teaspoon baking soda
* 1/4 cup oil
* 1/4 cup curd
* 1/2 cup milk
* Dry fruits and rose petals for decoration
Method:
Beat together the oil, curd, milk, and sugar until well combined.
- Add the sifted singhada atta and fry ingredients. Mix well.
- Pour the batter into a prepared tin and tap to remove air bubbles.
- Decorate with dry fruits and rose petals.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius (356 degrees Fahrenheit) for 30-35 minutes.
Note: Falhari cake is a fasting-friendly dessert often enjoyed during religious festivals in India. It is made with singhada atta, a gluten-free flour derived from water chestnuts.
