In Angul, a 40-year-old man administered poison to his two sons following a family dispute. The children were immediately taken to the local Bantala hospital and subsequently transferred to the Angul district headquarters hospital. As their condition worsened, they were later admitted to SCB Medical in Cuttack. Kalicharan Pradhan, a resident of Tubey village under the Jarapara police station, is employed at a local private plant and reportedly has a troubled relationship with his wife. After a heated argument with her on Friday morning, he took his two minor sons to Nuakheta forest and fed them a toxic substance. Local residents witnessed the incident and promptly transported the children to the hospital.
They managed to restrain Kalicharan and reported him to the police, who are currently questioning him.
