During the Big Billion Day 2025 sale, Flipkart promoted significant discounts on the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro. The iPhone 16 128GB was available for Rs 51,999, while the iPhone 16 Pro 128GB was priced at Rs 75,999. Flipkart Black and Plus members were allowed to make purchases starting September 22, with regular members granted access from September 23. Many customers placed orders at these promotional prices. However, Flipkart began to cancel orders, citing ‘payment failure’ as the reason, despite successful payments. This led to buyer frustration, and numerous individuals took to social media to share screenshots of their canceled orders, labeling it as Flipkart’s ‘Big Billion Scam’.
