Thiruvananthapuram, March 28 (). The Russian girl’s troubles came to an end on Tuesday as she boarded a flight to her country via Dubai from the Kozhikode International Airport. The woman had come to India with her 29-year-old male friend Aghil, who she had met for the first time on social media.
Aghil, an engineer by profession, was working in Doha. After the two met on the social media site, she moved to Doha.
From there the two traveled to Nepal and finally to Aghil’s home town in India.
The purpose of their coming home was to get married, but things went awry after Aghil often became violent towards her. Angered by this, the girl jumped from the first floor last week and tried to run away from her house and got injured.
The police arrested Aghil. Presently he is in judicial custody.
At the Government Kozhikode Medical College Hospital, the girl gave a statement in front of the local magistrate and narrated her ordeal.
The Russian Consulate also swung into action and got in touch with her parents in Russia. He sent a ticket to his daughter to return. On Tuesday morning, the police made him board a flight to Dubai. From there she will return to her country.
The woman narrated her ordeal in her Facebook post, in which she said that she had come with a lot of hope and had come to get married, but everything failed and she felt pained to be with Aghil.
