Google's Nano Banana Feature May Soon Be Widely Available

Nano Banana, officially named Google’s Gemini 2.5 Flash Image model, is a sophisticated AI image generation and editing tool. It can create images from text commands, but its notable strength lies in its advanced image editing features. According to a recent report from Android Authority, Google is potentially looking to broaden the reach of its Google Nano Banana update. The report suggests that Google is exploring ways to integrate Nano Banana AI into its existing applications and services, such as Google Lens and Circle To Search. Early users, particularly on Reddit, have praised the expansion of Nano Banana, describing it as ‘incredibly useful’ and ‘extremely good,’ indicating that wider access is likely to be positively received.

Android Authority tested a version of the Google Android app (16.40.18.sa.arm64) and found signs that Google might soon reintroduce the Live option in Google Lens, along with a newly developed Nano Banana Create feature for Search and Translate. The rollout of Google AI features appears to be progressing faster than the ongoing integration of Nano Banana into Circle to Search. Circle to Search is an AI technology that enables users to circle, draw, or highlight any part of a video or image, prompting Google to search for related information on the same screen.

While the Nano Banana Create option is present in the current build of upcoming Google AI tools, it is not yet functional, suggesting that the feature is still in the testing phase. Although Google has not officially announced these developments, Rajan Patel, Google’s Vice President of Engineering for Search and co-founder of Lens, shared the Android Authority article on X (formerly Twitter) with a hinting message: ‘keep your eyes peeled.’
