Gurugram, May 6 (). The Gurugram police on Saturday arrested a landlord from Sector 5 here for allegedly killing his tenant for non-payment of rent.
The victim has been identified as Rajendra, who was allegedly an alcoholic and was living in a rented accommodation in Gurgaon village.
According to the police, the landlord Suresh had gone to collect the rent from the tenant Rajendra on May 1. There both of them drank alcohol, after which there was an argument between the two. Then in a fit of rage, Suresh strangulated Rajendra to death.
Thereafter, the accused dumped the body inside the water booster station of the village and fled from the spot. On May 2, the sweepers informed the police that a naked body of a man with injury marks was seen inside the water booster station.
A case of murder has been registered at Sector 5 police station.
