Chandigarh: A high-ranking delegation led by Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini is visiting Japan and traveled on Tuesday from Tokyo to Osaka aboard the Shinkansen-Osaka bullet train. This train is recognized for its advanced infrastructure, safety protocols, and operational excellence, epitomizing a modern transport system. The delegation aims to attract foreign investment and promote global industrial activities in Haryana, according to an official statement. Members include Haryana’s Minister of Industries and Commerce Rao Narbir Singh, Chief Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Rajesh Khullar, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Arun Kumar Gupta, and other senior officials. During the journey, Chief Minister Saini remarked that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, India is advancing towards a rapid transport revolution.

He mentioned that as part of the “Viksit Bharat” initiative, a high-speed train corridor is being developed between Mumbai and Ahmedabad, which will be India’s inaugural bullet train project. Saini described his experience on Japan’s Shinkansen Bullet Train as inspiring, expressing that soon, Indian citizens will also have access to such swift, safe, and comfortable travel. Throughout the journey, the delegation examined Japan’s railway operations, maintenance, passenger safety, and technological advancements. Saini emphasized that Haryana and the broader India will draw lessons from Japan’s expertise to enhance its transport systems.
