Haryana Farmers Receive Over Rs 543 Crore in MSP for Kharif Crops

Chandigarh: In the Kharif procurement season for 2025-26, Haryana has transferred Rs 543.66 crore directly into farmers’ bank accounts, ensuring prompt payment of the Minimum Support Price (MSP), according to an official statement released on Saturday. Paddy is being collected from farmers registered on the ‘Meri Fasal Mera Byora’ portal. To date, paddy has been procured from 63,356 registered farmers in the state. The statement, citing a spokesperson from the Haryana Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department, noted that a total of 8,92,943.07 metric tonnes of paddy have been delivered to mandis across the state, with 3,10,821.24 metric tonnes already lifted from these markets. The total paddy procured thus far amounts to 7,20,025.68 metric tonnes.

The spokesperson indicated that the Food and Civil Supplies Department has achieved the highest procurement levels since September 22 during the current Kharif season, having secured 4,25,680.39 metric tonnes. HAFED has procured 2,09,796.67 metric tonnes, while the Haryana State Warehousing Corporation has acquired 84,548.61 metric tonnes of paddy. The procurement process in Haryana is a collaborative effort among the Food and Civil Supplies Department, HAFED, and the Haryana State Warehousing Corporation. Farmers are advised to bring their produce to the mandis only after proper drying and cleaning, adhering to the Government of India’s standards, which specify a maximum moisture content of 17 percent.
