Hyderabad is preparing to host the second edition of the HCL Cyclothon on November 9, 2025. This event promises thrilling racing, widespread participation, and the largest prize pool ever for an Indian cycling race, amounting to Rs 33.6 lakhs. Organized by HCL Group, a prominent global conglomerate, in collaboration with the Government of Telangana and under the Cycling Federation of India (CFI), the HCL Cyclothon will again turn the city into a cycling festival. Previous events in Noida, Chennai, and Hyderabad attracted over 12,000 riders, setting the stage for an even larger turnout this year. CFI will act as the technical partner, ensuring proper route design and adherence to technical standards.
The event will include three participation categories: Professionals, Amateurs, and Green Ride, offering a competitive platform for both professional and amateur cyclists while welcoming enthusiasts and first-time riders. Registrations are currently open at www.hclcyclothon.com and will remain available until October 26. Jayesh Ranjan, Special Chief Secretary for Special Projects (SPEED), noted the growing enthusiasm for cycling in Hyderabad, with infrastructure gradually improving to meet this demand. He highlighted that the HCL Cyclothon is a significant initiative encouraging people to adopt cycling for a healthier lifestyle and a sustainable environment.
Maninder Pal Singh, Associate Vice President and Head of Brand Strategy at HCL Group, along with the Secretary General of the Cycling Federation of India, were also present to announce the initiative. Rajat Chandolia stated, “At HCL, sport has always been a natural extension of our DNA—pushing limits, nurturing talent, and multiplying human potential.”
