Hyderabad will honor the intricate craft of printmaking with Edition 2, a significant exhibition at the Chitramayee State Gallery of Art in Jubilee Hills, scheduled for September 19–28, 2025. The event will showcase 30 artists from 14 states and delve into a 15th-century art form that has its origins in the Indus Valley and 16th-century India, while also highlighting modern reinterpretations. Curated by Annapurna M. and Attri Chetan, Edition 2 merges tradition with innovation, providing visitors with a unique chance to experience the technical precision and artistic allure of printmaking. The exhibition will open on September 19 at 5:00 PM, featuring the presence of Shilpa Reddy, Mrs. India and lifestyle influencer, along with Dr.
Sanjeev Kishor Goutam, Director General of the National Gallery of Modern Art. A notable feature will be the unveiling of a public printmaking studio, in addition to artist-led workshops and a mini print portfolio initiative, allowing art enthusiasts to engage directly with the medium. ‘Edition 2 is about rediscovering the art of making itself — a dialogue between tradition and experimentation,’ remarks curator Annapurna Madipadiga. This edition aims to engage, educate, and inspire, marking a key moment in Hyderabad’s cultural scene.
