India Triumphs Over Pakistan in Asia Cup 2025 Super 4 Match

India’s coach Gautam Gambhir instructed his players to shake hands with the umpires following their Super 4 victory against Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2025 on September 22. Previously in the tournament, players had refrained from handshakes to pay tribute to the victims of the Pahalgam terror attack and to support the Indian armed forces. However, for this match, Gambhir emphasized the importance of showing respect and professionalism. Match highlights include Abhishek Sharma scoring 74 runs off 39 balls, Shubman Gill contributing 47 runs off 28 balls, and Tilak Varma remaining unbeaten on 30 runs. Hardik Pandya led the team to a six-wicket victory.

Gambhir’s instructions underscored the significance of respecting umpires, regardless of the match’s intensity, highlighting that discipline and sportsmanship are as crucial as winning.
