Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal announced on Tuesday that India is in negotiations for a bilateral trade agreement (BTA) with the United States. He mentioned that India has already signed free trade agreements with Australia, the UAE, Mauritius, the UK, and the EFTA, a bloc of four European nations. “Lots happen, lots more to go…With the US, we are in dialogue with them on a BTA,” he stated during an industry chamber event focused on sustainability.
