Patna: Indian Railways has made a significant move to enhance passenger comfort and convenience. The new initiative, named Amrit Samvad, aims to gather feedback and suggestions directly from travelers. The goal is to listen to passengers’ voices and utilize their opinions to improve railway services. This initiative has commenced at Patna Junction under the Danapur Railway Division and will soon extend to other major stations. Through this campaign, railway officials will engage with passengers and local residents. They will solicit feedback regarding cleanliness, waiting areas, ticket counters, and other amenities. Suggestions gathered from passengers will not remain at the local level; they will be forwarded to the Railway Board to develop new and improved services based on actual passenger needs.
This means the Railways will plan upgrades and modifications according to the genuine feedback from daily train users. At Patna Junction, railway officials have already begun discussions with passengers as part of the Amrit Samvad program, collecting opinions on what requires enhancement at the station. Many passengers have requested improved cleanliness, more seating, and upgraded facilities such as digital boards and clean restrooms. The Railways has committed to thoroughly analyze these suggestions and take measures to implement visible improvements promptly. The Railway Administration has also indicated that similar initiatives will occur at all major stations within the Danapur Division.
The suggestions collected will first be reviewed at divisional and zonal levels, and key points will be sent to the Railway Board. After assessing the feedback, the Railways will endeavor to adopt the best ideas to facilitate a smoother and more comfortable travel experience for all. With Amrit Samvad, Indian Railways seeks to strengthen its connection with passengers and create a travel experience that genuinely meets their needs.
