The eagerly awaited iQOO 15 is officially set to launch in India, representing the brand’s significant advancement in the premium smartphone market. After its introduction in China, the iQOO 15 distinguishes itself as one of the first devices to utilize Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, ensuring enhanced performance and efficiency. Nipun Marya, CEO of iQOO India, confirmed, “For iQOO, performance isn’t just a feature — it’s who we are. With Qualcomm, we have found the perfect partner to power that belief. Our long-standing partnership has only strengthened our commitment to offer the very best products to our consumers.
We are excited that the iQOO 15 will be among the first premium flagships in India to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, raising the bar for performance in the smartphone industry.” Although iQOO has not yet revealed the official pricing in India, the iQOO 15 was launched in China at CNY 4,199 (approximately ₹52,000) for the 12GB/256GB model, with the top-tier 16GB/1TB variant costing CNY 5,499 (around ₹68,000). Given that the previous iQOO 13 was priced at ₹54,999, the iQOO 15 is anticipated to fall within a similar price range. The device will come in four vibrant colors: Legendary, Track, Lingyun, and Wilderness.
The iQOO 15 features a 6.85-inch 2K (1440p) flat Samsung M14 AMOLED LTPO display with a 144Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 2,600 nits. The screen supports 2160Hz PWM dimming and DC Dimming, providing a smooth and eye-friendly viewing experience. It includes an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner beneath the display for security. The camera setup comprises a triple 50MP arrangement, which includes a Sony IMX921 primary sensor with OIS, a 50MP periscope telephoto lens (Sony IMX882) providing 3x optical zoom, and a 50MP ultra-wide camera. For selfies, there is a 32MP front camera that promises sharp and detailed images.
The iQOO 15 is powered by a substantial 7,000mAh battery, supporting 100W wired and 40W wireless charging, marking the return of wireless charging after it was absent in the iQOO 13. It operates on Vivo’s new OriginOS 6 based on Android 16, becoming the first global iQOO model to transition from Funtouch OS. The device has an IP68 and IP69 rating for water and dust resistance. Additional features include dual speakers, a 14,000mm² vapor chamber for heat dissipation, and RGB lighting around the camera module for a gaming-inspired aesthetic. Connectivity options comprise Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, and dual-band GPS.
With its premium design, exceptional hardware, and flagship-level performance, the iQOO 15 is poised to transform the smartphone experience for performance enthusiasts in India. The official launch date is expected to be announced soon.
