Jaisalmer: Shocking report of ONGC regarding water released during boring in Mohangarh

As soon as the incident was reported, the crisis management team of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) reached the spot and studied the situation in detail. The team said that trying to take out the truck and machine could be dangerous, as this could lead to water and mud coming out again with high pressure. The team has submitted a technical report in this regard to the local administration.

Water can be 60 lakh years old

Regarding the water coming out of the ground and the smooth white soil at the site, groundwater experts believe that this water could be about 60 lakh years old. Apart from this, scientists claim that this salty water could be connected to sea water.

Villagers were warned

The ONGC team explained to the villagers that removing the truck and the machine would be both costly and risky. They believe that the truck and the machine have stopped the fast flow of water, and removing them could worsen the situation.

The government will investigate the incident

Groundwater Department Minister Kanhaiyalal Chaudhary reached the spot and took stock of the situation. He said that the incident will be investigated in detail and the farmer will be given proper compensation after assessing the loss suffered by him. Along with this, preparations are also being made for a scientific study on this incident so that the geological conditions can be understood better.
