The eagerly awaited film Ari, produced by Srinivas Ramireddy D, Sheshureddy Maramreddy, Dr. Thimmappa Naidu Purimetla, and Biram Sudhakar Reddy, with Ramireddy Venkateshwara Reddy (RV Reddy) presenting and Linga Gunapaneni as co-producer, is set for a worldwide release on October 10 through Asian Suresh Distribution. The movie features Vinod Varma, Anasuya Bharadwaj, Sai Kumar, and Srikanth Iyengar, and is helmed by Jayashankarr, known for his previous work on Paper Boy. In an in-depth interview, Jayashankarr shared the inspiration for Ari, stating, ‘I have always been intrigued by our Puranas and epics, especially the idea of triumphing over the Arishadvargas—desire, anger, greed, attachment, pride, and jealousy.
The concept for Ari originated in 2016, and I even traveled to the Himalayas to consult yogis about overcoming these internal adversaries.’ He highlighted that Ari strikes a balance between entertainment and philosophy, merging action, comedy, and drama in a non-preachy manner. ‘We’ve cast actors like Sai Kumar, Anasuya, and Viva Harsha who perfectly fit their roles, ensuring each character makes a significant impact. The VFX and AI elements elevate the storytelling, and despite a limited budget, the visuals are outstanding,’ he remarked. The film’s storyline delves into human desires and emotional complexities, making the intricate concept of Arishadvargas relatable for all audiences.
Ari has garnered accolades from notable figures, including Venkaiah Naidu, who likened it to a modern Bhagavad Gita, and industry stalwarts like Ashwini Dutt. With two popular songs and a gripping pre-climax that leads to an outstanding conclusion, Ari is poised to offer a thought-provoking cinematic journey, appealing to both spiritually inclined viewers and younger audiences.
