The film Kantara: Chapter 1 is performing exceptionally well, both in India and internationally, with earnings nearing ₹600 crore. It has generated $10.6 million (approximately ₹94 crore) from overseas markets. During its second weekend, the film added $2.25 million (around ₹19.9 crore) to its total, bringing the cumulative earnings to ₹593.50 crore, predominantly from India. The film is anticipated to soon surpass the ₹600 crore mark. The Middle East has contributed the largest share of earnings, with Australia showing improvement after a slow start. Other significant contributions have come from Malaysia, Singapore, and various European countries, while the USA performed moderately and Canada faced some challenges.

This achievement is noteworthy as Kantara, a Kannada film, has garnered substantial revenue from international audiences, which is uncommon for films in this language. Experts had initially projected $14 million in foreign earnings, but the film surpassed expectations by quickly reaching $10 million. Kantara has now positioned itself among the top Kannada films globally, joining the ranks of major hits like KGF 2 and Pushpa 2, owing to its compelling narrative and cultural representation. Earnings from various countries include: USA: $3.8 million, Canada: $220,000, Australia/New Zealand: $1 million, Middle East: $3.5 million, Malaysia: $350,000, Singapore: $190,000, UK: $775,000, Germany: $200,000, and other regions accounting for $450,000, culminating in a total of $10.6 million (₹94 crore) from international markets.
