Successful actor Kiran Abbavaram is gearing up to entertain audiences with his upcoming film ‘K-Ramp’. The movie is a collaboration between renowned production houses Hasya Movies and Rudransh Celluloid, featuring rising producers Razesh Danda and Shiva Bommak. Directed by Jains Nani, ‘K-Ramp’ is scheduled for a grand theatrical release on October 18, coinciding with the Diwali festival. In a recent interview, director Jains Nani provided insights into the film’s title, stating, “We chose ‘K-Ramp’ as it perfectly reflects the story and the hero’s character, Kumar. Although some might misconstrue it as a vulgar term, our intention was never that. The character encounters various challenges, and the term ‘ramp’ aligns seamlessly with his journey.
Other titles were considered, but this one stood out as catchy and memorable.” Nani addressed concerns regarding the trailer, emphasizing, “While a few lines might appear edgy, ‘K-Ramp’ is fundamentally a family film. We aim to capture the youth audience first, as they will bring their families along. The story is relatable across demographics. Unlike some films that focus on isolated ‘moments’, ‘K-Ramp’ boasts a robust storyline with engaging sequences. The interval block will also be a pleasant surprise.” He elaborated on the film’s preparation: “I studied at IIT Madras, where I created short films that inspired my entry into Tollywood. Kiran Abbavaram’s involvement was instrumental in refining the script according to his energy and body language.
He contributed ideas during scripting without interfering. We completed filming in 47 days efficiently.” The heroine, Yukti, participated in workshops and rehearsals to ensure she suited her role perfectly. “The first half centers on the hero, while the second half emphasizes the heroine. Both characters have strong performance arcs, keeping audiences engaged,” Nani added. The film introduces freshness with its Kerala backdrop, providing new visuals, local flavor, and unique humor. The background score incorporates elements of Kerala’s music, complementing the three songs included in the film. Nani concluded, “With tough competition this Diwali, our teaser and trailer have already garnered a positive response. We encourage audiences to visit theatres for guaranteed enjoyment.
Kamalini Jethmalani features in a small guest role with comedic scenes alongside Naresh. Personally, I enjoy energetic, fun-filled films, and ‘K-Ramp’ embodies that spirit. I have some new projects in discussion, which I will reveal after the film’s release.” With its combination of comedy, drama, and engaging storytelling, ‘K-Ramp’ is set to deliver a fun cinematic experience for both youth and family audiences.
