Compounding the situation, Bhojpuri actor and former candidate Khesari Lal Yadav expressed sorrow over his electoral defeat and shared his discontent with Tejashwi Yadav’s leadership. “I risked my career,” he remarked. “This was the first time in my life I had to decide within an hour. I couldn’t refuse.
I felt helpless.” In a tearful video message, he conveyed that his decision to run had cost him “five years of income” but expressed gratitude to the people of Chhapra for their support. “I was your son before, I am your son now, and I will remain your son,” he stated, adding that he plans to return to music because “I cannot live without singing.” While Khesari did not overtly criticize Tejashwi, his tone implied dissatisfaction with the RJD leader’s management of the campaign.
