New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated on Friday that the BJP-led NDA’s remarkable success in the Bihar Assembly elections represented a rejection of the ‘jungle raj’ and the appeasement strategies of the Mahagathbandhan parties. Speaking to party workers and supporters at the BJP headquarters, PM Modi noted that he had made two specific appeals to the voters in Bihar: to participate in record numbers and to provide a decisive mandate to the NDA. He expressed gratitude that the people of Bihar responded positively to his requests, granting the NDA a robust mandate. “The people of Bihar have voted for a developed Bihar. The people of Bihar have voted for a prosperous Bihar.
During the election campaign, I urged the electorate for record voter turnout, and they surpassed all expectations. I also asked for a significant victory for the NDA, and the electorate honored this request as well,” he remarked. Criticizing the MY (Muslim-Yadav) coalition touted by the Rashtriya Janata Party (RJD) as its support base for appeasing specific groups, he asserted that the youth of Bihar have adopted a new MY formula. “The people of Bihar have redefined MY as Mahila and Youth. Their ambitions and dreams have completely overshadowed the MY formula that certain parties have exploited for political gains,” he stated.
The Prime Minister also commended the junior alliance partners of the NDA, including Jitan Ram Manjhi, Upendra Kushwaha, and Chirag Paswan, for their outstanding contributions to the Bihar elections, as well as the party workers and grassroots supporters who played a crucial role in securing a significant mandate for the alliance.
