Hyderabad: Mahipal Singh of Tamil Nadu and Sumathi N from Andhra Pradesh emerged victorious at the Game Xtreme 2nd South Zone Tenpin Bowling Tournament, organized by the Tenpin Bowling Association (Telangana) at the Game Xtreme Bowling Center in Hyderabad. In the Men’s Division finals, top seed Mahipal Singh triumphed over his fellow Tamil Nadu bowler Ganesh N T, who was seeded seventh, winning by a margin of 52 pins with a cumulative score of 405 to 353. In the semifinals, Ganesh NT scored 387 to defeat Lalith Kumar G from Telangana, who had 347, and second seed Kishan R from Karnataka, who scored 323.
In a closely fought Women’s Division final, reigning National Champion Sumathi Nallabantu from Andhra Pradesh secured her victory by just 3 pins against Hitasha Sisodia of Karnataka and Sabeena Athica from Tamil Nadu, finishing with scores of 298, 295, and 280, respectively. Dr. Jagadish Babu Rangisetty, Chairman of Biophore India Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd., presented the trophies and prizes to the winners. A total of 94 bowlers, including 82 men and 12 women, from five states—Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Telangana—competed in this week-long tournament.
