Preparation:

  • 500 ml buttermilk
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp oil
  • 1/2 tsp jeera powder
  • 1/2 tsp jeera seeds
  • 5 curry leaves
  • 2 slit green chillies
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • A pinch of hing
  • 1 tbsp chopped kothmir

Method:

  1. Prepare the buttermilk mixture: In a vessel, combine buttermilk, sugar, salt, jeera powder, and kothmir. Mix well.
  2. Make the tempering: Heat oil in a pan. Add jeera seeds, curry leaves, hing, green chillies, and grated ginger. Sauté until fragrant.
  3. Combine: Pour the hot tempering into the buttermilk mixture and stir well.
  4. Serve: Serve immediately, chilled for best taste.
