Chennai, May 17 (). A 19-year-old migrant laborer from Odisha who was set ablaze along with three others at Jedarpalayam in Namakkal district died on Wednesday.
Manoj had sustained severe burn injuries along with three others in a shed at Jedarpalayam in Namakkal district on May 14. All of them were living here.
Another person, a resident of Sukkuram in Chhattisgarh, also suffered serious burn injuries. The person was admitted to a private hospital in Chennai, where he is battling for life.
It may be noted that a shed housing migrant workers of a jaggery manufacturing unit at Jedarpalayam in Namakkal district was set ablaze by a group of unidentified persons.
Namakkal District Police is conducting raids to nab those who set the shed ablaze.
