On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with members of the Kuki and Meitei communities who have been displaced due to ethnic violence in Manipur, according to officials. Modi took the time to hear the concerns of the internally displaced persons (IDPs) at the historic Kangla Fort complex in Imphal and at Peace Ground in Churachandpur. He assured them of the government’s dedication to restoring peace and normalcy in the region.
