Mohammed Siraj has been awarded the ICC Men’s Player of the Month for August 2025, following his outstanding performance in the final Test of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy at The Oval. He claimed nine wickets during the match, contributing significantly to India’s effort to level the series 2-2. Siraj was also recognized as the Player of the Match, achieving a five-wicket haul in the second innings. Over the course of the Test, he bowled a total of 46 overs. He outperformed competitors Matt Henry from New Zealand and Jayden Seales from the West Indies for this accolade. Siraj participated in all five Tests of the series, concluding as India’s leading wicket-taker with 23 wickets.
He expressed that receiving the award is a significant honor and extended his gratitude to his teammates and support staff for their encouragement. Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar also commended his achievements. Siraj’s remarkable performance has elevated him to his highest ICC Test ranking.
