According to officials, security will also be beefed up outside the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) office near Rouse Avenue Court.
Adequate number of barricades will be installed on the surrounding roads so that AAP workers or supporters do not face any kind of trouble.
We have made elaborate security arrangements, and since he is a chief minister, no doubt there will be tight security for his safety, said a senior police officer.
The official further said that over 1,000 security personnel, including paramilitary forces, would be deployed outside the CBI headquarters to ensure that no untoward incident takes place.
DCP (South) Chandan Chowdhary said, Section 144 CrPC will be imposed in the area.
According to a notice issued by the CBI, the CBI has called Kejriwal to its office at 11 am to appear before the investigation team as a witness in the Excise Policy case.
It has been announced that Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and all Delhi cabinet ministers will accompany Kejriwal to the CBI office.
Kejriwal has been summoned by the CBI for the first time in connection with the Delhi Excise Policy 2021-22 case, which allegedly caused loss to the Delhi government and benefit to a group of liquor traders.
Kejriwal’s name was mentioned in the second charge sheet filed by the Enforcement Directorate before a special ED court on January 6.
