The Delhi Police apprehended a fugitive murder suspect following a gunfight in northwest Delhi, an official reported on Friday. The suspect, named Guddu, 23, from Shalimar Bagh, sustained a gunshot wound to his right leg during the confrontation and was subsequently hospitalized at BJRM Hospital for medical care. Authorities recovered a homemade pistol, an empty cartridge, and a live cartridge from him. Guddu was wanted in connection with a murder case reported at the Shalimar Bagh police station last month. On August 25, a call to the police control room informed them of the admission of Harsh Mishra, 20, a resident of Haiderpur, who had been stabbed by unknown attackers. Despite attempts to save him, Mishra died the following day.
A murder case was initiated on August 26, leading to the arrest of four individuals during the investigation. However, Guddu remained at large and was identified as one of the key suspects in the case.
